International Return & Exchange Policy

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, RETURNS & EXCHANGE POLICY

Effective Date: 12th September 2026
Last Updated: 12th September 2026

This International Shipping, Returns & Exchange Policy (“Policy”) applies to purchases of BHAWE products made through www.bhawe.com for delivery outside India.

This Policy forms part of BHAWE’s Terms & Conditions and should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and any other policies displayed on the Website.

For the purposes of this Policy, “BHAWE”, “we”, “us” or “our” means Project Weave, and “you” or “your” means the customer placing an international order.

1. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

BHAWE accepts international orders for delivery to selected countries and destinations where international delivery is available.

Availability of products, payment methods, shipping services and delivery destinations may vary from time to time.

An international order is subject to:

  • product availability;
  • successful payment;
  • applicable export and customs requirements;
  • availability of a suitable shipping service to the destination; and
  • any restrictions applicable to the product or destination country.

BHAWE reserves the right to decline or cancel an order where fulfilment is not reasonably possible, where the destination is not serviceable, or where applicable legal, customs or export requirements cannot be satisfied.

Where BHAWE cancels an order before shipment, the eligible amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded to the original payment method, subject to applicable payment-processing procedures.

2. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

International orders are shipped from India through shipping and logistics service providers selected by BHAWE.

BHAWE may use Shiprocket or another appropriate logistics/courier provider, depending on the destination, product, shipment characteristics and available service.

International delivery is generally estimated at approximately 7–10 business days from dispatch, subject to the destination, selected shipping service, customs clearance and courier operations.

The stated delivery period is an estimate and does not constitute a guaranteed delivery date.

Actual delivery time may vary because of:

  • customs clearance;
  • import procedures;
  • destination-country regulations;
  • courier or postal delays;
  • incorrect or incomplete address information;
  • public holidays;
  • weather or natural events;
  • security or regulatory checks;
  • operational disruptions; or
  • other circumstances beyond BHAWE’s reasonable control.

A delay in delivery does not by itself constitute a defect in the product.

International Delivery Time

International orders are shipped through Shiprocket and its designated international courier and logistics partners. Delivery timelines vary depending on the destination country, courier service, customs clearance, and other factors beyond BHAWE's control.

As a general estimate, international orders are expected to be delivered within approximately 7–10 business days from the date of dispatch, subject to the applicable shipping service and destination.

The estimated delivery period does not include order processing time, weekends, public holidays, customs clearance, or delays caused by customs authorities, courier partners, weather conditions, transportation disruptions, or other circumstances beyond BHAWE's reasonable control.

The applicable shipping service and estimated delivery timeline, where available, will be communicated or displayed at the time of shipment/order processing.

3. SHIPPING CHARGES

International shipping charges are calculated and displayed at checkout based on the destination, shipment characteristics and available shipping service.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the international shipping charge shown at checkout relates to the applicable transportation/shipping service and does not include destination-country customs duties, import taxes, VAT, sales tax, brokerage charges or similar government or carrier charges.

Where a customer requests the use of a customer-owned shipping account, BHAWE may accommodate such a request at its discretion, subject to operational feasibility and prior written confirmation.

4. CUSTOMS DUTIES, TAXES AND IMPORT CHARGES

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import duties, VAT, sales tax, brokerage fees, handling charges or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout:

all destination-country customs duties, taxes, levies, brokerage fees and import-related charges are the responsibility of the customer.

The customer is responsible for understanding the applicable import requirements, restrictions and charges of the destination country before placing an order.

BHAWE does not determine the amount of customs duties or taxes imposed by the destination country.

Where required, the courier, customs authority or other authorised agency may contact the customer directly for payment of applicable duties or taxes and/or completion of customs formalities.

BHAWE is not responsible for additional charges imposed by the destination country or its authorities.

5. CUSTOMER AS IMPORTER / CONSIGNEE

For international shipments, the customer may be required by the destination country, customs authority or courier to provide information, identification, declarations or other documents necessary for customs clearance.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate information and cooperating with reasonable customs-clearance requirements.

BHAWE will provide export/shipping documentation reasonably required from the seller, subject to applicable law and the requirements of the shipping service.

BHAWE does not guarantee that a product will be permitted entry into every destination country.

Customers should verify applicable import restrictions before placing an order.

6. REFUSED, UNCLAIMED OR UNDELIVERABLE SHIPMENTS

If an international shipment is:

  • refused by the customer;
  • abandoned;
  • not collected;
  • returned because applicable duties or taxes were not paid;
  • returned because required customs formalities were not completed; or
  • returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer,

the customer may be responsible for shipping, return-shipping, customs, storage, handling and other charges incurred by BHAWE or its logistics provider.

Any refund, if applicable, will be considered only after the shipment is returned to BHAWE and the applicable costs have been determined.

Where the shipment is returned to BHAWE because of circumstances attributable to the customer, BHAWE may deduct applicable non-recoverable costs from any amount otherwise refundable, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

7. INTERNATIONAL RETURN POLICY

7.1 No General Change-of-Mind Returns

International orders are not ordinarily eligible for return or exchange merely because the customer has changed their mind, selected the wrong size, no longer wants the product, or does not like the product after purchase.

This policy is intended to account for the additional logistics, customs and cross-border costs associated with international returns.

Customers are therefore strongly encouraged to review:

  • product descriptions;
  • measurements;
  • size information;
  • fabric details;
  • colour descriptions;
  • product photographs; and
  • any other product information

before placing an international order.

7.2 Exceptions

The above restriction does not apply where:

  • the product is materially defective;
  • the product is materially damaged in transit;
  • BHAWE has supplied an incorrect product;
  • a material item is missing from the order; or
  • the product materially fails to conform to the description or specifications represented by BHAWE,

subject to verification and applicable law.

8. PRODUCTS THAT ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURN OR EXCHANGE

In addition to the general international return restriction, the following products are not eligible for change-of-mind return or exchange:

  • customized products;
  • made-to-order products;
  • products specifically altered or personalized for the customer;
  • pre-draped sarees;
  • jewellery;
  • hair accessories;
  • travel accessories;
  • mending kits;
  • brooches;
  • face masks;
  • handkerchiefs;
  • paintings;
  • buntings;
  • BHAWE Gift Cards; and
  • sale or clearance products.

This restriction does not limit any remedy that may be available for a verified defective, damaged, incorrect or materially non-conforming product where applicable.

9. CUSTOMIZED AND MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTS

Customized, personalized and made-to-order products are prepared specifically according to the customer's requirements.

Accordingly, such products cannot ordinarily be cancelled, returned or exchanged once production has commenced.

Where BHAWE agrees to an alteration or customization during product development, the scope and cost of that alteration will be communicated separately.

Any additional alteration requested after completion or dispatch may be subject to additional charges, including applicable shipping costs.

Nothing in this clause excludes remedies available under applicable law in relation to defective or materially non-conforming goods.

10. SALE AND PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS

Products purchased during a sale or clearance promotion are not eligible for change-of-mind return or exchange.

This restriction does not affect rights or remedies relating to verified defective, damaged, incorrect or materially non-conforming products where applicable.

Specific promotional campaigns may contain additional terms. Where a promotion contains terms specifically governing returns, exchanges or refunds, those terms will apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. DEFECTIVE, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

BHAWE takes reasonable care to inspect products before dispatch.

If you believe that an international order has arrived:

  • defective;
  • damaged;
  • materially different from the product ordered;
  • incorrect; or
  • incomplete,

you must contact BHAWE at support@bhawe.com within 48 hours of delivery.

Your communication should include:

  1. Order ID;
  2. customer's name;
  3. description of the issue;
  4. clear photographs of the product;
  5. photographs of the packaging and shipping label; and
  6. video evidence where reasonably necessary to demonstrate the issue.

BHAWE may request additional information or evidence before determining the appropriate resolution.

Following verification, BHAWE may provide an appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • refund;
  • replacement;
  • store credit; or
  • another appropriate remedy,

depending on the circumstances, product availability and applicable law.

A product will not be treated as defective solely because it contains normal characteristics associated with natural fibres, handweaving or handcrafted production, as described in Section 17 of this Policy.

12. TAMPERED OR DAMAGED PACKAGES

If a package appears visibly opened, damaged or tampered with at the time of delivery, customers should, where reasonably possible:

  • refuse delivery;
  • photograph or record the condition of the package;
  • retain the packaging and shipping label; and
  • contact BHAWE immediately at support@bhawe.com.

If a customer accepts a visibly tampered package, BHAWE should be notified as soon as reasonably possible with supporting photographs or video.

BHAWE will review the circumstances and coordinate with the relevant logistics provider where appropriate.

13. CANCELLATION BEFORE SHIPMENT

An international order may be cancelled before dispatch, subject to confirmation by BHAWE.

Customers requesting cancellation should contact:

support@bhawe.com

as soon as possible and preferably within 2 hours of placing the order.

Where an eligible cancellation is accepted before shipment, the applicable refund will be processed to the original payment method, subject to the terms of the payment provider and any charges that are lawfully non-refundable.

Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation will ordinarily no longer be available.

This restriction does not affect remedies applicable to defective, damaged, incorrect or materially non-conforming products.

14. ORDER MODIFICATIONS

Customers should review their order carefully before completing payment.

Requests to modify:

  • size;
  • product;
  • quantity;
  • shipping address; or
  • other order details

should be sent to support@bhawe.com within 2 hours of placing the order.

BHAWE will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a modification where the order has not yet entered processing or dispatch.

A modification cannot be guaranteed after processing or dispatch has commenced.

15. REFUNDS

Where a refund is approved under this Policy, the refund will ordinarily be processed to the original payment method used for the transaction.

The timing of the refund reaching the customer's account may depend on the relevant payment gateway, bank or financial institution.

BHAWE is not responsible for delays attributable solely to the customer's bank, card issuer, payment provider or other financial intermediary.

Where a refund is not reasonably practicable to process to the original payment method, BHAWE may offer another lawful refund mechanism or store credit, as appropriate.

16. STORE CREDIT / CREDIT NOTE

Where BHAWE issues store credit or a credit note, the credit will be valid for 11 months from the date of issuance, unless a different validity period is expressly stated at the time of issue.

Store credit is non-transferable unless BHAWE expressly agrees otherwise.

Store credit cannot ordinarily be exchanged for cash except where required by applicable law.

17. NATURAL FABRICS AND HANDCRAFTED VARIATIONS

BHAWE works with natural textiles, traditional textile techniques and handcrafted processes.

Products may therefore display reasonable variations in:

  • colour;
  • texture;
  • weave;
  • slubs;
  • surface character;
  • print;
  • embroidery;
  • dye absorption;
  • finish; and
  • overall appearance.

Such variations may arise from the nature of natural fibres, handweaving, hand-dyeing, handcrafted production and traditional textile processes.

Minor variations that are consistent with these characteristics will not ordinarily be considered manufacturing defects.

Product images displayed on the Website may also vary slightly from the actual product due to lighting, photography, screen settings and the natural characteristics of the textile.

18. FABRIC ORDERS

Fabric orders will ordinarily be shipped as running lengths and will not be cut into smaller pieces unless otherwise agreed in writing before purchase.

Due to the nature and limitations of handwoven production, fabric may be available in approximate running lengths of 11–18 metres per unit, depending on the textile and production batch.

Actual available lengths may vary.

Customers requiring a particular fabric length should contact BHAWE before placing the order.

19. FORCE MAJEURE

BHAWE will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations to the extent caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include, without limitation:

  • natural disasters;
  • war;
  • civil unrest;
  • government restrictions;
  • customs restrictions;
  • strikes;
  • epidemics or pandemics;
  • transportation disruptions;
  • courier or postal failures;
  • cyber incidents;
  • power or telecommunications failures; or
  • other events beyond BHAWE's reasonable control.

Where reasonably possible, BHAWE will communicate material delays and take reasonable steps to mitigate their impact.

20. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete:

  • name;
  • delivery address;
  • postal/ZIP code;
  • telephone number;
  • email address; and
  • other information reasonably required for delivery or customs clearance.

The customer is also responsible for complying with reasonable customs and import requirements applicable to the destination country.

BHAWE will not be responsible for additional costs or delays arising from inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information supplied by the customer.

21. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY AND ORDER ACCEPTANCE

Placement of an order does not necessarily constitute final acceptance by BHAWE.

BHAWE may decline or cancel an order where:

  • the product is unavailable;
  • an obvious pricing or listing error has occurred;
  • the destination cannot be serviced;
  • payment cannot be successfully processed;
  • the product cannot legally be exported or imported;
  • customs or regulatory restrictions prevent fulfilment; or
  • other legitimate operational or legal circumstances prevent fulfilment.

If BHAWE cancels an order before shipment, the eligible amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded in accordance with the applicable refund process.

22. COUPONS AND PROMOTIONAL ORDERS

Where a discount code, coupon or promotional offer has been used, the terms of that offer may affect the availability or calculation of any refund or exchange.

Unless otherwise stated in the applicable promotional terms:

  • a return or cancellation may invalidate the promotional benefit;
  • a refund may be recalculated after removal of the promotional discount;
  • size exchange is not guaranteed for international orders; and
  • where an exchange is unavailable, BHAWE may, where appropriate, offer store credit instead of a cash refund.

The specific terms of the applicable promotion will govern where they provide additional conditions.

23. GOVERNING LAW AND CUSTOMER RIGHTS

This Policy shall be read together with BHAWE's Terms & Conditions.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, BHAWE's contractual relationship with customers is governed by the laws of India.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any statutory consumer right, remedy or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

Where mandatory laws of the customer's jurisdiction apply to an international transaction and cannot lawfully be contracted out of, those mandatory rights will continue to apply.

24. POLICY UPDATES

BHAWE may amend this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its business practices, logistics arrangements, applicable law or regulatory requirements.

The version of this Policy applicable to an order will generally be the version in effect at the time the order is placed, subject to applicable law.

The latest version will be made available on the BHAWE Website.
